INTRODUCTION OF THE PARTY COMMITTEE OF THE MACHINES AND INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT CORPORATION
The Party Committee of the Machines and Industrial Equipment Corporation is the Party Committee under Hanoi Industrial Group, consisting of 06 subordinate committees with 70 active members.
On 12/5/1990, MIE was established under Decision No. 155/QD-HDBT (currently the Prime Minister), at which time, it had 3 Party Members (Mr. Hoang Gia Tuong, Mr. Le Xuan Han and Mr Nguyen The Vinh), and the Party Committee of the Ministry of Heavy Industries issued a decision on establishment of a Party Organization working directly with the Party Committee of the Ministry of Heavy Industries.
Throughout five years’ development, in 1995, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Heavy Industries (currently the Ministry of Industry and Trade) issued a decision on establishment of the Party Committee of MIE with the 3 following subordinate committees for the office, the business and industrial equipment company, and Mechanical Products Import-Export Company (MECANIMEX). In 2002, the Party Committee of MIE started to operate under that of Hanoi Industrial Group.

Throughout 22 years’ construction and development, the Party Committee of MIE has undergone 4 Congresses. The 4th Congress of the Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term organized in May 2015 elected the Executive Board including 9 members among whom Mr Tran Quoc Toan held the position of Party Committee Secretary and Mr Nguyen Khac Hai held the position of Party Committee Deputy Secretary.
Since its establishment, the Party Committee of MIE has evidently the political nucleus of the Corporation. Its Executive Board has well performed its leadership role and driven the Corporation through the most difficult periods, and the brand ‘MIE’ has been confirmed on the market.
The Party Committee of the Corporation performs the functions of leading, examining and supervising subordinate party committees, leaders, cadres, Party members and employees regarding compliance of the political platform, the Party's Charter, the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, resolutions of higher-level Commissions, ensuring good performance of political tasks of the involved parties and the Corporation; developing healthy and strong Party Committees in close relation to developing local mass organizations within the Corporation.
The Party Committee of MIE is responsible for leading the implementation of political tasks; leading activities in politics and ideology; participating in the organization of personnel; building party organization; and leading mass organizations;
The Party Committee of MIE is entitled to rights of higher-level commissions to directly organize Party facilities in accordance with the Party’s Charter and regulations of the Central Executive Board; issue decisions on establishment, dissolution, separation, merger, and consolidation of subordinate Party Committees; appoint and approve Party Committees and Examination Committees; issue and manage Party Member Cards and recognize official Party Members; decide on admission of Party Members after written approval of the Standing Board of the Party Committee of Hanoi Industrial Group; authorizing local Party Committees to decide on admission or dismissal of Party Members when possible; and decide on commendation and disciplinary measures towards Party Members within their authority.
