Bac Binh Hydropower Plant is located on the basin of Luy River, in the area of communes of Phan Son and Phan Lam, Luong Son District, Binh Thuan Province, being 250km far away from the Northeast of Ho Chi Minh City.
Vietnam Electricity Development Joint Stock Company is the investor of this plant. Total investment rate of the project is 561.5 billion VND, of which the construction capital is 278.6 billion dong. The plant has a total installed capacity of 33MW with two generator units (each has 16.5MW), the average annual power output is 144.7 million kWh.
MIE is the leading of the joint-name for contractord in manufacturing and supply all hydraulic mechanical equipment for the project.
The project was completed in 2007.
