Lai Chau Hydropower Project

Lai Chau Hydropower Plant was started for construction on January 5th 2011 in Nam Nhun Commune, Muong Te District, Lai Chau Province. The plant has total investment rate of more than 35,700 billion dong, including 03 machine units with total installed capacity of 1,200 MW, supplying each year about 4.8 billion kWh to the national grid. After more than 5 years of construction, the plant was officially put in use on December 20th 2016,, reaching the target 1 year earlier than the specified schedule.
Machinery Industrial and Equipment Corporation is a contractor, supplying of hydraulic mechanical equipment for items of water intake, overflowing spillway etc with total volume of nearly 3,000 tons of equipment, contributing to the general performance of putting the plant being plan over-fulfillment.
