Ban Chat Hydropower Plant, Lai Chau Province

Ban Chat Hydropower Plant was constructed on Nam Mu River - Than Uyen District, Lai Chau Province. The plant has the installed capacity of 220 MW (including 2 generator units), with investment budget of 2700 billion VND, with the average power output of 1.16 billion kWh/year.
Machinery and Industrial Equipment Corporation (MIE) is leader of joint venture of MIE-NARIME-VINAINCON to supply hydraulic equipment of Package no.20.
- Commencement: January 2006.
- Expected to generate power for generator unit no. 1 in the third quarter of 2012.
