Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant

Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant was constructed on Hoa Binh Lake, Hoa Binh Province, on the flow of Da River in the North of Vietnam. till 2012, this is the largest hydropower project in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. The plant was assisted for construction and operation by Soviet Union.
Construction was commenced on November 6th, 1979 and was inaugurated on December 20th, 1994. The designed power generating capacity was 1,920 megawatts, comprising of 8 machine units, each unit has a capacity of 240,000 kilowatts. Annual power output is 8.16 billion kilowatt hours (KWh).
MIE is the contractor to supply and repair the factory's mirrors surface. It was implemented in 1987.
