Investment project for improving valve opening system of spillway Tri An hydro power plant

On 06/5/2020, The Contract Signing Ceremony of Package No. 02 (TRAN-02) for design, supply of materials, equipment and construction (EPC) for the project to upgrade the system of valve opening system of spillway City took place at the headquarters of Vietnam Electricity Power Projects Management Unit No.3 - No. 25, Thach Thi Thanh Street, Tan Dinh Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh.
The investment project to upgrade the valve opening system of spillway of Tri An Hydropower Plant is implemented between the Investor (Vietnam Electricity), the Investor's Representative (Vietnam Electricity Power Projects Management Unit No.3) and the contractor consortium between the National Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Machines and Industrial Equipment Corporation - Joint Stock Company (Consortium of NARIME-MIE).
Tri An hydropower plant is located in Vinh An town, Vinh Cuu district, Dong Nai province. This is a large hydropower project with an installed capacity of 400MW, with the average annual energy generation of 1760 GWh on Dong Nai River, downstream of the project flowing through the provinces of Dong Nai, Binh Duong and Ho Chi Minh City.
The project to upgrade the valve opening system of spillway for Tri An Hydropower Plant is implemented to replace the gantry crane, creating a safe and reliable operation of the gate valves system as well as ensure that flood control can be done quickly, accurately and effectively in compliance with the operational process of Tri An hydropower reservoir lake.
This bidding package is one of the high value bidding packages. The Vietnam Electricity Power Projects Management Unit No.3 organized successfully the online bidding and contractor selection for the first time. With capacity and experience, the Consortium NARIME-MIE was selected by the Investor and awarded a contract package of 106.3 billion dong with hydraulic cylinders originated from from G7 (The Group of Seven), cylinder working journey ~ 9.4m and using the most advanced cylinder stroke sensor, 210-ton lifting force per cylinder and the contract implementation progress includes design, material supply and construction within 440 days.
The contractor consortium commits with the Investor to mobilize maximum resources for implementing the package safely, ensuring quality and on schedule.
