Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Plant

Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Plant is owned by Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN) with total investment rate of 34.295 billion VND. It has a design capacity of 1200MW, with annual power output of 6.739 billion Kwh. The plant, which is located in the south of My Loc commune, Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province, is started for construction on March 1st, 2011, expectedly, Generator unit 1 of the plant will generate commercial power in the third quarter of 2017 (September) and Generator unit 2 in the first quarter of 2018 (March, 2018).

 

The contract of package of "Ash waste system" for this plant is being implemented by Machinery Industrial and Equipment Corporation (MIE) - a member of PVC-PT/MIE/VIETTRONICS joint-name Consortium. Total value of the contract is over 162 billion VND, of which the value part implemented by MIE is more than 58 billion VND.
