On the occasion of the inauguration of Lai Chau Hydroelectric Plant, the delegation of the Machineries and Industrial Equipment Corporation has visited and attended the inauguration ceremony of the plant on December 20th, 2016.
Lai Chau Hydroelectric Plant commenced construction on January 5th, 2011 in Nam Nhu Commune, Muong Te District, Lai Chau Province. The Plant has a total investment capital of more than VND 35,700 billion, including 3 engines with total installed capacity of 1,200 MW, providing about 4.8 billion kWh annual capacity to the national grid. After more than 5-year construction period, on December 20th, 2016, the Plant was officially inaugurated, meeting the target one year ahead of schedule.
Machineries and Industrial Equipment Corporation has involved in supplies of hydraulic mechanical equipment for water intake items; overflowing spillway etc. with total volume of nearly 3,000 tons of equipment, contributing to the overall achievement of the Plant for accomplishing in excess of the target plan.
