On December 11, 2019, the Hoa Binh Hall of Vietnam Electricity (EVN) at No. 11 Cua Bac Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi witnessed the Signing Ceremony of EPC Contract: Engineering, Procurement and Construction of Se San 4 Solar Power Plant Project between HUAYUAN-MIE Consortium, consisting of Jiangsu Huayuan New Energy Technology Co., Ltd and Machines and Industrial Equipment Corporation and Vietnam Electricity Power Projects Management Board No.2. Attending the Ceremony:
1. Representing the Consortium:
- Machines and Industrial Equipment Corporation (MIE): Mr. Trần Quốc Toản, Chairman of the Board; Mr. Nguyễn Khắc Hải, General Director and other Members of the Corporation’s Board;
- Jiangsu Huayuan New Energy Technology Co., Ltd (Huayuan): Mr. Wu Tong Hai, CEO of Huayuan and other Members of the Company’s Board
2. Representing the Owner:
- Vietnam Electricity: Mr. Nguyễn Tài Anh, Deputy General Director of EVN and other Deputy and General Directors from different Departments of EVN;
- Representative of the Owner – EVNPMB2: Mr. Nguyễn Văn Thành, General Director and other Members of the Management Board.
In addition, Mr. Fabrice Richy, General Director of the French Development Agency (AFD) in Vietnam also attended the Ceremony.
Se San 4 Solar Power Plant Project is located at Ia Toi Commune, Ia H’drai District, Kon Tum Province with the installed capacity of 49MWp.
Once put into operation, the Project will provide an annual electricity output of 72,4 million KWh per year for the national electricity system, greatly contributing to the development of the country’s clean energy source.
The EPC Contract: Engineering, Procurement and Construction of Se San 4 Solar Power Plant Project is the main bidding package of the Project and is worth 19.434.341,72 Euro and 194.353.446.000 VND.
The Project schedule: Starting from December 2019, operating in September 2020 and is finished in October 2020.
Although the engineering, procurement and construction of a Solar Power Plant project is a brand new field to MIE, with the vast experience and competency of both parties, the Consortium pledged to the Owner and AFD Vietnam to fully utilise its resources to safely execute the Package, ensuring the best quality possible and meeting the planned schedule.
