Thac Ba Hydropower Plant - Yen Bai

Thac Ba Hydropower Plant, which is located on Chay River in the area of Yen Binh District, Yen Bai Province, is the first hydropower plant in our country. It has 03 machine units with the capacity of 108MW and the annual output is about 400 million KWh.
- Construction was started on August 19th, 1964.
- It was inaugurated on October 5th , 1971.
MIE was the contractor to supply and repair equipment for the factory in 1986.
